Hannah Smilowitz
Clinical Professional Counselor - Student
Hi, my name is Hannah Smilowitz, and I am a Clinical Professional Counselor - Student. I am currently studying for my master's in clinical counseling with an emphasis on childhood development, disorders, and treatment. Although my field of study focuses on children and adolescents, I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, as well as families, couples, and groups. I strive to create a comfortable and safe environment, driven by empathy and open honest communication. We will work together to build a meaningful client-counselor relationship and meet true goals and make sincere emotional, physical, and mental health progress that align with your specific needs and values. I understand how factors of life such as relationships, illness, work, family, trauma, and other various stressors can negatively impact an individual in a variety of ways.
My goal is to offer empathy and support while also helping you meet your emotional goals and acquire techniques to alleviate regular mental health distress. During the day when I am not meeting with clients I am working as a full-time middle and high school math teacher. I really have a passion for engaging with and helping my community, as well as teaching and providing therapy. I offer both in-person and tele-health sessions on the weekdays and weekends.
