Bethany Hickey
Clinical Professional Counselor - Student

Hello! I’m Bethany. I’m a Clinical Professional Counseling Student and working on an advanced certificate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Starting therapy can feel like a big step—whether you’re a parent seeking help for your child, a teen looking for someone who understands or an educator feeling the strain of a demanding profession. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in practical strategies that lead to real progress. I provide a safe, supportive space for clients to explore challenges, build coping skills, grow confidence and reconnect with your sense of purpose and well-being.
I have experience working with diverse children and families in school settings, and I’ve supported families in understanding and responding to challenging behaviors while fostering resilience at home. In addition to my counseling work with young clients, I bring a unique perspective from my years working in education. I understand the high demands educators face, the toll of burnout, and the challenge of maintaining balance while caring for others. I’ve supported both families and educators in finding strategies that improve resilience, restore energy, and strengthen relationships at school and at home.

I work primarily with individuals, children, adolescents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, social struggles, and life transitions. Our work together starts with listening—understanding your goals, strengths, and needs. From there, we create a plan that feels manageable and motivating. My goal is that you leave each session with something useful—whether that’s a new skill, a shift in perspective, or a sense of relief from feeling heard. Outside Healing With Grace, I enjoy time hiking, reading and spending time with my family and our cat.
