Marija Savitt
Marriage and Family Therapist - Intern and Developmental Specialist

Hi, my name is Marija Savitt! I am a Marriage and Family Therapist - Intern. I have a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling, which I obtained from California State University, Northridge, in 2005. I also have a second Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy at Touro University Worldwide completed in 2024. I have spent most of my career working with neurodivergent children and adults in various settings. During my work with individuals with autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities I learned that more than the individual is affected and the whole family system receiving support would allow the individual to flourish. I enjoy helping families grow and find their strength through difficult times. In addition to working with the neurodivergent population, I also have experience with divorce, separation, domestic violence, co-parenting, and the family system following separation. More recently, I have found that I enjoy working with various populations, including helping adolescents find their path, working with individuals through various trauma experiences, and helping others find their strength and voice. I also have experience with chronic illness, terminal illness, and grief. In this profession, I continue to grow in many ways while helping individuals reach their goals and address their needs. I utilize play therapy techniques with children, solution-focused and problem-solving approaches with teens and adults, and provide a calm, nurturing space to share with everyone. I am adding new perspectives and modalities to my toolbox regularly. I am available Friday and Saturday, but hope to be adding more days soon. When I am not working, I am with my adolescent boys, helping them navigate life. I enjoy reading and am part of a single mom's book club. I also love fashion and beauty. I am very family-focused and have professional and personal experiences shaping me as a therapist.
